Antria is a clinical research organization committed to the care and improvement of human life by advancing science through cutting-edge treatments and transforming health care through clinical research.
Why participate in a research study?
Clinical trials are research studies involving human volunteers that aim to answer specific health questions. All studies are closely and carefully monitored by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) in order to ensure the highest level of safety and comfort for all trial participants. To ensure additional safety, informed consent forms are given to all prospective volunteers, laying out information about the study with details about the process and agenda of the study visits. In fact, carefully conducted clinical trials are the safest and fastest way to find effective treatments and new ways to improve health.
Benefits to the patient
Along with assisting us to find new and better ways of treating diseases and conditions, there are also some BIG benefits to participating. All costs incurred for the study are covered by Antria. Therefore, you will receive the drug, physical examinations, laboratory collections, and a multitude of study related assessments at no cost to you. In today’s world of high deductibles and copays, this is a great way to get diagnostic testing done in an economical way. Also, there is compensation for time and travel paid to the patient for participation! This varies for each study and depends on the amount of clinic visits required.
How to get involved?
Antria is working in two capacities of clinical research; large clinical trials and simple blood collections studies, and we would love to get you involved.
Currently, we are working on several Phase 3 studies for the following indications:
- Osteoarthritis of the knee or hip
- Uterine Fibroids
- Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
- Overactive Bladder
- Hip Fractures
These studies all follow a strict list of inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure you are a qualified candidate. Compensation for participation in these above-mentioned studies are between $500 and $1000.
The blood collection studies we have are a simpler version of a large study and is a simple “one and done” blood collection with no further follow up. This is being done to collect patients’ blood for the love of science, for researchers to test how genetic make ups will react to various drugs, paving the way for new and improved medications. Currently we are looking for patients with the following diagnoses:
- Type 1 Diabetes
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Bladder Cancer
- Prostate Cancer
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Fatty Liver Disease
Patients who choose to participate in this study will receive a $25 pre-paid Visa Gift Card for their donation of blood.
